About the Lecture:
Ye Shuxian, born in 1954, Ph.D. in literature, director of the Center for Comparative Literature Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a research fellow at the Institute of Literature, a professor at the Graduate School, and a Ph.D. He has served as guest professor at Yale University, visiting professor at the British Academy, Oxford University, and Cambridge University, visiting professor at the Royal Netherlands College, and visiting professor at the Chung Hsing University in Taiwan. He is currently Professor of Zhiyuan, Shanghai Jiaotong University and a Ph.D. student in the School of Humanities. Vice President of Chinese Comparative Literature Society, President of Chinese Literary Anthropology Research Association, President of Chinese Mythology Society. He has made outstanding achievements in comparative literature, literary anthropology, and the origin of Chinese civilization. The literary anthropology research advocated by him has formed a new trend in China. He has published "The Anthropology of Literature" and "The Philosophy of Chinese Mythology." Monographs, translated dozens of departments.
