Agreement for Education of International Students signed with SRICC
On December 9, Shaanxi Normal University signed a framework agreement of cooperation with the Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce on the joint education of international students from countries along the Silk Road.
International School of Chinese Studies dean Zhang Jiancheng signed the agreement on behalf of the university at the Cooperation and Development Forum for International Industrial Park and Symposium on Silk Road International Cultural Week co-sponsored by China International Chamber of Commerce, Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce and Shaanxi Provincial Chamber for Promotion of International Trade and held at Tang Dynasty West Market in Xi'an.
Government officials, chairmen of chambers of commerce, representatives from international organizations and educational institutions from China, Russia, Ukraine, India and about other 30 countries along the Silk Road attended the forum and symposium, in an effort to promote Sino-foreign exchange and integration in trade, education and culture, and help implement through practical and effective cooperation the One Belt and One Road Initiative in countries along the Silk Road.
According to the agreement, SRICC will, using educational and cultural resouces from countries along the Silk Road, establish a special scholarship to help students from these countries to study Chinese language, Chinese culture, as well as business administration, with the goal of providing human resources support to the economic and cultural exchange between China and these countries.
More than 60 SNNU Chinese and foreign students were invited to witness the signing. Another 20 SNNU students served as volunteers at the forum.
At the forum, SRICC also signed more than ten agreement for cooperation with chambers of commerce and educational institutions from Bolivia, Ukraine and Russia.
