Thierry Meynard, a French, professor at the department of philosophy, Sun Yat-sen University, Ph.D. Supervisor, vice director for the Archive of Western Learning spreading to East. His main study is focus on culture exchange between China and west, western ancient philosophy and modern new Confucianism. He got a doctoral degree on Chinese philosophy, Peking University, with the dissertation Religious Opinions of Liang Shuming, 2003; Lecturer at Fordham University, New York, 2004-2006; member of The Macau Ricci Institute, 2006. Author of The Jesuit Reading of Confucius （Boston: Brill, 2015）,Confucius Sinarum Philosophus（Rome, 2010）,The Religious Philosophy of Liang Shuming（Boston: Brill, 2010）,Following the Footsteps of the Jesuits in Beijing (Chinese version, Beijing, 2007).Co-author with Prof. Li Shixue, publishes Jesuit Chreia in Late Ming China（Bern: Peter Lang: 2014）. Edits, corrects and comments on Matteo Ricci’s Tianzhu Shiyi Jinzhu (Beijing, 2014); co-edits Philosopher’s Athens - Christian Rome (Beijing: 2012) with Prof. Zhang Xianyong, Sun Yat-sen University.
